Vision

The vision of social clinical service within Balochistan institute of psychiatry and behavioral sciences (BIPBS) is to support and assist in the achievement of providing quality medical care services to all patients. This is accomplished through social clinical staff working collaboratively with other health care personnel in providing medical, preventive, therapeutic, restorative, educational and rehabilitative services

Mission

The primary mission of the social work profession is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty. A historic and defining feature of social work is the profession’s focus on individual well-being in a social context and the well-being of society. Fundamental to social work is attention to the environmental forces that create, contribute to, and address problems in living. The mission of Balochistan Institute of Psychiatry and behavioral sciences (BIPBS) Clinical Social Work Department is to provide the standard of care for our patients. We recognize that the impact of a psychiatric illness affects multiple aspects of a patient’s life as well as the lives of family members. We strive to help patients to cope and make changes that will help them to live as fully as possible within their communities.
