BIPBS- Women Police – Mental Health Services

BIPBS is going to provide Mental health Psycho-Social support at Women Smart police station Quetta for Police staff, Women prisoners and child protection services.
A lot of prisoners reported daily for mental health issues at BIPBS, SPH and BMCH hospitals.

 

LHWs training on GBV

LHWs training on GBV, Conducted by BIPBS, Supported by WHO to strengthen psycho- social support, management and Referral of GBV cases through Tele-medicine.

BIPBS with collaboration Environmental department SBK women University Quetta celebrated Mental Health Day program.
VC SBK Prof. Dr Naheed Haq was Chief Guest.

World Mental Health Day 2021 at BIPBS

World Mental Health Day awareness program conducted by Balochistan Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (BIPBS) Quetta at BIPBS on 09th October 2021.

Worthy Secretary Health Mr. Noor-ul-Haq Baloch, Prof Dr. Ghulam Rasool, Prof. Dr Saleem Barech and other guests participated in the event.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists provide occupational therapy (OT) treatments to help individuals who require specialized assistance to participate in everyday activities, or “occupations.” Occupations don’t just refer to work or your job, but can also refer to self-care practices, everyday tasks and recreational activities. The goal of occupational therapy is to help individuals participate in the things they want and need to do to live an independent and satisfying lifestyle.

Psychiatric Nursing

Diploma in Mental Health Nursing is first public sector training program .it has been started on March 10th 2017. It is a joint venture of College of Nursing Baochistan and Balochistan Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences .The first batch has completed the training on 30thjune 2018. The training is accredited by Pakistan nursing council . The objectives are Promotion of Mental Health Nursing in Balochistan through Capacity and capability building in mental health nursing to meet the needs of Mental Health Nursing Services at secondary and primary health care.
